Ingredients
  • 200 gram Butter
  • 200 gram Sugar
  • 4 unit Eggs
  • 2 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 250 gram All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
  • 2 unit Apples
  • 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoon Powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon powder. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. While the cake is baking, prepare the apple compote. Peel, core, and dice the apples. In a saucepan, combine the apples, lemon juice, cornstarch, and water. Cook over medium heat until the apples are tender and the mixture thickens.
  6. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Once the cake has cooled, spread the apple compote on top. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
