Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

Cut the butternut squash in half lengthwise and remove the seeds. Place the squash halves on a baking sheet, cut side down, and roast for about 45 minutes or until the flesh is tender.

Scoop out the flesh from the roasted squash and transfer it to a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the butternut squash puree, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, evaporated milk, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix well.

Pour the mixture into the pie crust and smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for another 40-45 minutes, or until the filling is set.

Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
