Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C). In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Cut the butter into small cubes and add it to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese. Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in the buttermilk. Stir until just combined. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it gently a few times until it comes together. Roll out the dough to a 1-inch thickness and cut out biscuits using a round biscuit cutter. Place the biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve warm and enjoy!
