In a saucepan, combine the coconut milk, condensed milk, and young coconut meat. Cook over medium heat until the mixture thickens.

In a separate bowl, dissolve the cornstarch in water and add it to the saucepan. Stir continuously until the mixture thickens further.

Remove the saucepan from heat and add the vanilla extract. Let it cool for a few minutes.

In a mixing bowl, beat the egg yolks. Gradually add the cooled coconut mixture while continuously whisking.

In a separate pan, melt the butter. Add the sugar and salt, then mix well.

Add the butter mixture to the coconut mixture and stir until well combined.

Line a pie dish with the pie crust. Pour the coconut filling into the crust.
