Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 stick Unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 4 tablespoon Ice water
Instructions
  1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown and gives off a nutty aroma. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Pour in the cooled browned butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. Gradually add ice water, 1 tablespoon at a time, mixing until the dough comes together.
  4. Shape the dough into a disk, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the chilled dough on a lightly floured surface and transfer it to a pie dish.
  6. Trim and crimp the edges as desired. Prick the bottom of the crust with a fork.
  7. Bake the crust for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Let it cool before filling.
