  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out one pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. Peel, core, and slice the apples.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and bourbon. Mix well.
  5. Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust.
  6. Dot the top of the filling with small pieces of butter.
  7. Roll out the second pie crust and place it on top of the filling.
  8. Trim and crimp the edges of the pie crust.
  9. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
