  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a mini pie pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.
  5. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared pie pans. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow the mini pies to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it begins to simmer. Remove from heat and add the semi-sweet chocolate. Let it sit for a minute, then stir until smooth.
  8. Once the mini pies are completely cooled, spoon the chocolate ganache over the tops.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
