Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Blueberries
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, rolled oats, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut the unsalted butter into small pieces and add it to the dry ingredients. Use your fingertips or a pastry cutter to cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Gently fold in the blueberries.
  6. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead it a few times until it comes together. Shape the dough into a circle or rectangle, about 1-inch thick.
  7. Cut the dough into 8 equal-sized pieces and transfer them to the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until the scones are golden brown.
  9. Allow the scones to cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes before serving.
