  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Spread half of the batter into the prepared cake pan. Top with the mascarpone cheese and blueberries. Sprinkle with half of the brown sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Spread the remaining batter over the blueberries. Sprinkle with the remaining brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
