Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1 cup Blueberries
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup Chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the granulated sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, alternating with the milk.
  4. Gently fold in the blueberries.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
  6. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped nuts. Sprinkle the crumb mixture evenly over the batter.
  7. Bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
