Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the milk and vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Gently fold in the mixed berries.
