Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.

In a saucepan, boil the oranges for 15 minutes. Drain and let them cool.

Cut the oranges into quarters and remove any seeds. Blend the oranges in a food processor until smooth.

In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.

Stir in the orange zest and orange juice. Fold in the blended oranges.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
