Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and sugar.

Cut the butter into small pieces and add it to the flour mixture. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Gradually add the milk while stirring until the dough comes together.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes until smooth.

Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1/2 inch (1 cm) and cut into biscuits using a round cutter.
