Ingredients
  • 1 box Cake mix
  • 1 cup Water
  • 0.5 cup Vegetable oil
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 1 container White frosting
  • 10 drop Food coloring (red and blue)
  • 1 packet Chocolate sandwich cookies
  • 1 tube Red icing gel
  • 1 tube White icing gel
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to the temperature specified on the cake mix box.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix well until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into a round cake pan and bake according to the instructions on the cake mix box.
  4. Once the cake is baked, let it cool completely on a wire rack.
  5. In the meantime, divide the white frosting into two separate bowls. Add red food coloring to one bowl and blue food coloring to the other. Mix until the desired colors are achieved.
  6. Frost the cooled cake with the white frosting, reserving some for decoration.
  7. Use the red and blue frosting to draw the base paths and home plate on top of the cake, resembling a baseball diamond.
  8. Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies and sprinkle them around the edges of the cake to represent the infield.
  9. Use the red icing gel to draw the stitching lines on the white frosting.
  10. Use the white icing gel to write any desired message or decorate further.
  11. Allow the cake to rest for at least 1 hour before serving.
