  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a bowl and set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.
  7. Fold in the mashed bananas.
