Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch square baking pan.

In a large mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.

Add the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, unsalted butter, egg, and vanilla extract to the bowl with the mashed bananas. Mix well until all ingredients are combined.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

While the cake is baking, prepare the peanut butter chocolate topping. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the creamy peanut butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted and smooth.

Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.

After the cake has cooled, pour the peanut butter chocolate topping over the cake and spread it evenly.
