  • 200 gram Pie crust
  • 4 each Ripe bananas
  • 3 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 1/2 cup Milk
  • 3 each Egg yolks
  • 2 tablespoon Unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup Caramel sauce
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare the pie crust according to the package instructions and blind bake it for 10 minutes.
  2. Slice the ripe bananas and arrange them evenly on the baked pie crust.
  3. In a saucepan, whisk together the cornstarch, sugar, and salt. Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks. Gradually temper the yolks by whisking in a small amount of the hot milk mixture.
  5. Pour the tempered yolks into the saucepan with the remaining milk mixture. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil.
  6. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the butter and vanilla extract until well combined.
  7. Pour the custard over the sliced bananas in the pie crust. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  8. Allow the pie to cool at room temperature for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
  9. Before serving, top the pie with whipped cream and drizzle with caramel sauce.
  10. Slice and serve chilled.
