  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the bananas and grate the carrots.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. In another bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the buttermilk. Fold in the mashed bananas, grated carrots, and chopped walnuts.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. In a small bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon juice until smooth.
  10. Spread the cream cheese frosting over the cooled cake.
