Ingredients
  • 300 gram Shortcrust pastry
  • 200 gram Bacon
  • 300 gram Leeks
  • 500 gram Potatoes
  • 150 gram Cheddar cheese
  • 4 unit Eggs
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Roll out the shortcrust pastry and line a pie dish.
  3. In a frying pan, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, sauté the leeks until soft.
  5. Boil the potatoes until tender, then drain and slice.
  6. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper.
  7. Layer the bacon, leeks, potatoes, and cheddar cheese in the pie dish.
  8. Pour the egg mixture over the ingredients.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until the pie is golden and set.
  10. Allow the pie to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
