Ingredients
  • 200 gram Bacon
  • 300 gram Sauerkraut
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 cup Flour
  • 2 unit Eggs
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
Instructions
  1. Cook the bacon in a frying pan until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, sauté the onion until translucent. Add the sauerkraut and cook for 5 minutes.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, eggs, water, salt, and pepper to make the dough.
  4. Roll out the dough and cut into circles.
  5. Place a spoonful of the sauerkraut mixture onto each dough circle. Fold in half and seal the edges.
  6. Boil the pierogi in salted water for 5 minutes or until they float to the surface.
  7. In a separate pan, melt the butter and fry the pierogi until golden brown.
  8. Serve the pierogi with the crispy bacon on top.
