  2. Roll out one pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. Peel, core, and slice the apples.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well.
  5. Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust.
  6. Dot the top of the apple mixture with small pieces of butter.
  7. Roll out the second pie crust and place it on top of the apple mixture.
