Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.

In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

In a separate large bowl, mix the brown sugar, milk, vegetable oil, and eggs.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Stir in the dried apricots.

Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan.

Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, spread apricot jam on top of the bread and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
