Ingredients
  • 1.5 cup Apricots
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 0.5 cup Powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until creamy.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the heavy cream.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  6. Arrange the apricot slices on top of the batter.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and remaining heavy cream until smooth.
  10. Drizzle the cream mixture over the cooled cake.
