  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 0.5 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 2 peeled and sliced Apples
  • 0.5 cup Brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup Chopped walnuts
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with milk. Spread half of the batter into the prepared pan.
  5. Arrange sliced apples evenly over the batter. Sprinkle with brown sugar and chopped walnuts.
  6. Spoon the remaining batter over the apples and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
