Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 cup Apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoon Unsalted butter, cold
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk. Fold in the chopped apples.
  5. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and cold butter. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to mix until crumbly.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared cake pan. Sprinkle half of the streusel mixture over the batter. Repeat with the remaining batter and streusel.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
