Ingredients
  • 2 cup Apples
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Butter
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Walnuts
  • 1/2 cup Currants
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel, core, and dice the apples.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  4. Melt the butter and add it to the dry ingredients along with the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  5. Fold in the diced apples, walnuts, and currants.
  6. Grease a cake pan and pour the batter into it.
  7. Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 30 minutes.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
