  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out one sheet of pie crust and press it into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  3. In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, granulated sugar, flour, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Mix well.
  4. Pour the apple mixture over the pie crust in the baking dish.
  5. Dot the top with small pieces of unsalted butter.
  6. Roll out the second sheet of pie crust and place it on top of the apple filling. Press the edges to seal.
  7. Brush the top crust with beaten egg.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 60 minutes.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
