  2. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  3. Place 2 slices of cheddar cheese on the unbuttered side of 2 bread slices.
  4. Layer the sliced apple on top of the cheese.
  5. Sprinkle cinnamon and powdered sugar over the apple slices.
  6. Top with the remaining 2 slices of cheddar cheese.
  7. Place the remaining 2 bread slices on top, buttered side facing up.
  8. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  9. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  10. Remove from the skillet and let cool for a minute before serving.
