Ingredients
  • 200 gram Pie crust
  • 600 gram Apples
  • 100 gram Granulated sugar
  • 20 gram Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 unit Egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 50 gram Unsalted butter
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Roll out the pie crust and line a pie dish with it.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the sliced apples, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, egg yolks, and vanilla extract.
  6. Pour the cream mixture over the apples in the pie crust.
  7. Dot the top of the pie with small pieces of unsalted butter.
  8. Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the filling is bubbly.
  9. Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for at least 2 hours before serving.
  10. Serve the apple cream pie chilled or at room temperature.
