  • 2 cup Apples
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 stick Unsalted butter
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 0.25 cup Powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.
  4. Peel, core, and slice the apples. Arrange the apple slices evenly on the bottom of the prepared cake pan.
  5. Pour the batter over the apple slices, spreading it evenly.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert it onto a serving plate and let it cool completely.
