  2. In a large bowl, sift together the cake flour and 3/4 cup of granulated sugar.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg whites, cream of tartar, vanilla extract, and salt until soft peaks form.
  4. Gradually add the remaining 3/4 cup of granulated sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the flour mixture into the egg white mixture until fully combined.
