Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

Alternate adding the flour mixture and the yogurt to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix just until blended.

Stir in the boiling water until the batter is smooth. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.

Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.

Once the cake is cooled, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
