  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust and line a pie dish with it.
  3. Peel, core, and slice the apples.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
  5. Add the sliced apples to the bowl and toss until coated.
  6. Transfer the apple mixture to the pie crust.
  7. Dot the top of the apples with butter.
  8. Roll out the remaining pie crust and place it on top of the apple filling.
  9. Seal the edges of the pie crust and make a few slits on top to allow steam to escape.
