Almond Sheet Cake with Butter Frosting

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the almond flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually mix in the flour mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer the cake to a wire rack to cool completely.

In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, powdered sugar, and almond extract until smooth.

Spread the butter frosting evenly over the cooled cake.

Garnish with sliced almonds.

Allow the frosting to set for at least 1 hour before serving.
