  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, melted butter, 1/4 cup of granulated sugar, and salt. Press the mixture into the bottom of a pie dish to form the crust.
  3. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and let it cool.
  4. In a saucepan, whisk together the remaining granulated sugar, egg yolks, milk, and cornstarch. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Spread the pitted cherries evenly over the cooled crust. Pour the cream mixture over the cherries.
  6. Bake the pie for 20 minutes, or until the filling is set.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 2 hours.
