Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Peel, core, and slice the apples. Set aside.

In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, almonds, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and add melted butter and vanilla extract. Mix well.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the egg mixture, mixing until well combined.

Grease a baking pan and pour half of the batter into it.

Arrange the sliced apples on top of the batter.

Pour the remaining batter over the apples.

Bake for 40 minutes or until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Let the cake cool for 10 minutes before serving.
