Almond and Pear Cake
Almonds are not true nuts, but rather seeds of the almond tree.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 90 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 9.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

Grease and flour a cake pan.

In a bowl, mix the flour and baking powder.

In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.

Fold in the almonds.

Peel and slice the pears, then arrange them on the bottom of the cake pan.

Pour the batter over the pears.

Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
