Ingredients
  • 2 cup Pie Crust
  • 2 pound Apples
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 beaten Egg
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust and line a pie dish.
  3. Peel, core, and slice the apples.
  4. In a bowl, mix together sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
  5. Add the sliced apples to the bowl and toss until well coated.
  6. Transfer the apple mixture to the pie crust.
  7. Dot the top of the apples with butter.
  8. Roll out the remaining pie crust and place it over the apples.
  9. Trim and crimp the edges of the pie crust.
  10. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
  11. Brush the top crust with beaten egg.
  12. Bake for 45 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  13. Allow the pie to cool for 20 minutes before serving.
