Watergate Cake

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13-inch baking pan.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, instant pistachio pudding mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes until well blended.

Stir in the chopped walnuts and shredded coconut.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once the cake is cooled, spread the whipped topping over the top.

Garnish with additional chopped walnuts and shredded coconut, if desired.

Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
