Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the mandarin orange juice, zest, and vanilla extract.

Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just blended. Stir in the milk.

Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
